Job Description

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and analytical Data-ontleder to lead data analysis and statistical reporting across the industry. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, developing interactive dashboards, and producing reports that support strategic, operational, and industry-wide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, analyse and interpret data.

• Perform data validation and quality assurance on large datasets.

• Test and validate data integration solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration.

• Expand databases through API connections and historical data submissions.

• Liaise with stakeholders and technical teams to translate data into actionable insights.

• Follow up effectively to obtain required data and balance stakeholder needs with available resources.

• Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards with key production, financial and industry metrics.

• Develop working filters user-friendly interfaces for stakeholders.

• Create reports and statistical analyses to various stakeholders.

• Present complex findings through accessible graphs and narratives.

• Analyse and document processes related to business and farming.

• Identify opportunities to improve data management, reporting flows, and decision-making frameworks.

• Promote and uphold data management principles, ensuring secure, clean, and reliable data.

• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.

• Perform general administrative duties, including handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing communications, and maintaining organised records and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agricultural Economics, or related field.

• Minimum of 35 years experience in data analysis or business intelligence.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, SQL, Power Query, Power BI, DAX and statistical tools such as R and Python.
