About the Role
You will take full ownership of the organisation’s IT infrastructure landscape, including networks, servers, storage, databases, and cloud platforms. This role requires a strong leader who can balance operational excellence with strategic direction, while managing teams, vendors, and key stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure stability, availability, and performance of the IT environment across all infrastructure domains
- Lead and manage Infrastructure, Support, Network, DBA, Security, and Operations teams
- Drive system monitoring, incident management, and service delivery excellence
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and security management
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs
- Lead infrastructure automation, orchestration, and modernisation initiatives
- Own cyber security posture, including endpoint protection, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Manage IT infrastructure budgets and performance reporting
- Implement and enhance ITIL-based processes and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with business units and leadership to align IT strategy with organisational goals
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in IT systems across multiple domains
- 10+ years’ experience in a managerial/leadership role within Infrastructure and IT Operations
- Strong experience with infrastructure architecture (networks, firewalls, servers, storage)
- Deep knowledge of Windows & Linux environments and databases (SQL, MySQL, Postgres)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/O365) and modern infrastructure tools
- Proven track record managing third-party vendors and service providers
- Solid understanding of ITIL, SDLC, and security/risk frameworks
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
