Job Summary
In addition to the support role, The IT Support Technician will be responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware and Software, Troubleshooting of Printers, Network equipment, CCVT and Voip and telephony systems. The Technician will also be responsible for logging, assigning, resolving IT Tickets timelessly.
The IT Support Technician will be required to work at least one weekend in the month since we are Retail, and stores operate throughout the year.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as help desk through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone, to help resolve issues.
- Provide remote support using remote software like Teamviewer and Anydesk.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software.
- Provide support to our in house (POS) Point of Sale System (Positive Live)
- Ability to troubleshoot Office Suite applications including (Microsoft 365. Word Excel. Power point, Access, Onedrive and etc), Open Office and Libre Office.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Internet troubleshooting and loading of data bundles as a backup.
- Setup and troubleshooting of the EFT machine connected solution.
- Network troubleshooting and maintenance
- Configuring and troubleshooting network printers
- Basic server administration and support
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Routers.
- Setup and troubleshooting of CCTV, NVR/DVR and cameras.
- Setup and troubleshooting of VOIP and IP phones.
- Clone PC’s using programs such as Clonezilla and Macrium reflect
- Ticket logging, assigning, resolving and escalating unresolved tickets Respond within agreed time limits to stores and Head office tickets.
- Escalate any unresolved issues to the IT manager.
- Assist with all adhoc duties required in the department.
- Assist in Projects such as downloading music for stores.
- Setup and movement Head office hardware.
- Assist is troubleshooting Head office Hardware and replacements.
- Maintain the IT storeroom, making sure all items that are coming in or out are captured on the relevant sheets.
