Junior Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management is very important
- 2-3 years’ experience as a HR Generalist
- Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
- Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail and analytically driven
Duties and responsibilities (include but is not limited to):
- Human resources policies and procedures: Developing, implementing, and administering HR policies and procedures
- Employee relations: Guiding management on employee relations and performance management
- Recruitment: Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants
- Benefits and compensation: Administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Training and development: Setting up learning and development programs, and reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with training
- Employee experience: Implementing programs to improve the employee experience
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and national regulations and employment laws
- Reports: Providing reports requested by management, such as around absenteeism or leave
- HR information systems: Using HR information systems/reports to gather people data and insights
- Organizational structure: Designing organizational structures with business leaders
- Employer brand: Creating an employer brand
- Conflict resolution: Playing a role in conflict resolution
- Labour law management, along with SEESA
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
- BBBEE management
- Payroll management
- Personal Assistant to the Directors
