Company and Job Description:
Our client operates in a project-based environment and is known for structured governance, strong project controls, and collaborative cross-functional teams. The business offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with project managers, tracking costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and project scope
• Record and process sub-consultants’ invoices in the ERP system with accurate cost allocation
• Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate project cost reports
• Liaise with project managers and senior management to track and manage project costs
• Ensure all project-related expenses are supported, approved, and compliant with company policies
• Perform regular project reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness
• Assist with project audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Support cost-benefit analysis and financial forecasts for current and future projects
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and respond to project-related financial queries

 

Job Experience & Skills :

• Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (Deltek, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential)

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or a related role (essential)
• Exposure to project-based or contract-driven environments (advantageous)
• Experience within construction, engineering, real estate, or similar industries (preferred)
