Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects and resources are effectively scheduled and managed to meet deadlines and organizational goals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for accurate schedule creation and updates.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely reports, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Use project management software and tools to create detailed timelines and track milestones.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to address schedule-related issues, updates, and changes promptly.
- Optimize resource allocation and utilization, ensuring efficiency across projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to set realistic deadlines and identify critical paths for project delivery.
- Prepare and present reports, including Gantt charts, progress updates, and forecasted timelines.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in all planning activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Project Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in planning and scheduling roles.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools such as MS Project, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, critical path method (CPM), and resource planning.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Certification in project planning (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is advantageous.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timelines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage ambiguity.
- Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other reporting tools.
