Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate quality systems, standards, inspections, and controls to ensure products and services meet required quality standards
• Ensure all equipment, tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges are calibrated and verified in line with calibration procedures and standards
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to perform dimensional checks and communicate corrective actions to relevant departments
• Develop and maintain systems that promote quality awareness and continuous improvement across operations
• Take full ownership of non-conformance reports (NCRs) from initiation through investigation, corrective action, and closure
• Compile, manage, and report on weekly reject data, ensuring accuracy and follow-up on corrective actions
• Analyse quality data and trends, identifying recurring issues and recommending improvement actions
• Conduct quality meetings with production staff, supervisors, and management
• Lead or support investigations into product failures and customer complaints
• Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for quality-related issues across raw materials, components, processes, and finished goods
• Support production teams with non-conformance handling, rework processes, sorting, and segregation of non-conforming materials
• Apply statistical sampling techniques for inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished goods
• Conduct process and supplier audits where required and track corrective actions
• Support ISO compliance and quality assurance activities
• Assist with staff training and competency assessments related to quality standards and procedures
• Promote and support health and safety practices within production environments
• Maintain a clean, organised work area in line with 5S principles
• Perform additional quality-related duties as required

• Experience in Quality Control procedures, practices, and principles within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for dimensional inspection
• Competent in the use of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometres, and gauges
• Strong numeracy skills
• Proficient in MS Office, with Excel experience essential

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a production/manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on incoming goods
• Mechanical Engineering Diploma and/or a Trade Test in the Mechanical Engineering field
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems, including auditing and maintenance
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
• Professional accreditation or certification in Quality Management (advantageous)
• SAP experience (advantageous)
