Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples for testing.Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing concerns during procedures.Verify patient identification and accurately label specimens.Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.Follow infection control and safety protocols.Assist with patient education, care coordination, and follow-up as needed.Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.Adhere to all clinical and organizational policies and procedures.Qualifications:Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with SANCA and HPCSA if phlebotomist.Certification or proven experience in phlebotomy. 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting or similar role.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
