About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer (Senior) to join our team in Gauteng, South Africa. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality software solutions using SAP ABAP, UI5, SAP Fiori, and S4Hana. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver successful implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP applications using UI5, SAP Fiori, and S4Hana.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and optimize code performance.
• Work effectively as part of an Agile team to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Participate in build management capabilities and process integration knowledge across multiple SAP modules.

Requirements

• Experience in the following modules: SAP ABAP, UI5, SAP Fiori, S4Hana
• SAP ABAP Certification
• Problem Solving capabilities
• Ability to work as part of a team with the Agile Working Methodology
• Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of DevOps experience in commercial/and/or retail end user IT applications
• Strong ABAP Development skills including but not limited to:
• Proven track record as a competent ABAP programmer
• Good knowledge of Object Oriented Design Paradigms
• Test Driven Development Methodologies and how to make new and existing code testable
• Very strong understanding of optimized data retrieval and code performance techniques
• Good understanding of the Agile methodology
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA
• SAP Solution Manager exposure
• Modern ABAP understanding
• Exposure to SAP MM, SD, WM, APO and SAP S/4 Hana
