Our client is a leading Business Information Systems Consulting firm that delivers specialised technology solutions across Africa and the Middle East. Their services span project management, software implementation, product development across multiple platforms, and ecommerce solutions for clients in banking, financial services, manufacturing, FMCG, and recruitment sectors.

In this role, you will join a collaborative support team responsible for maintaining and enhancing a proprietary trading platform. You will work closely with technical specialists, project teams, and clients to resolve system issues, improve support tools, and contribute to system enhancements. This opportunity offers exposure to complex production environments, strong technical growth, and the chance to build deep expertise in application support within a fastpaced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support by logging, investigating, and resolving user queries and system incidents.
• Analyse system issues to identify root causes and implement both immediate fixes and longterm solutions.
• Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of system enhancements aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Provide system expertise and technical input into crossfunctional projects.
• Maintain system data integrity and perform scheduled system maintenance tasks.
• Document technical processes, troubleshooting procedures, and system functionality.
• Continuously review and recommend improvements to support processes and system performance.
• Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and suppliers across technical and nontechnical audiences.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:

• A minimum 3year tertiary qualification in Commerce, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of Application Support experience supporting production systems.
• Experience working with IT Service Management ticketing systems (JIRA Service Management preferred).
• Strong experience supporting customerfacing systems in a technical environment.
• Exposure to database systems, reporting tools, and system troubleshooting.

Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills including queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database management.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a team environment.
• Understanding of financial markets or trading platforms will be advantageous.
