About the Role
Join National Brands Limited (NBL) as a Storeman at our Isando Biscuits facility in Kempton Park, Gauteng, and be part of a legacy that has shaped South Africa’s biscuit tradition for over 170 years. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to drive success in our store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the receiving, counting, safeguarding, issuing, and disposal of stock items to and from the store.
- Maintain physical control and organization of inventory within assigned areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and security.
- Accurately count and record stock received and issue according to procedures.
- Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full stock takes and reconciliations.
- Keep stock items always organized and readily accessible for efficient retrieval.
- Inspect spares in stock for defects or damage and report findings promptly to the stores team leader.
- Conduct investigations into stock discrepancies and report findings to the stores team leader.
- Maintain accurate administrative records of inventory and stock management.
- Track inventory movements, create reports.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by Stores team leader.
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Pastel)
- Excellent MS Office skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate (or N3) with Mathematics Certificate in supply chain/logistics is an advantage.
