About the Role
Flink Recruitment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of TMM equipment in a mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on TMM equipment (e.g., LHDs, dump trucks, drill rigs, bolters).
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs efficiently.
- Complete pre-planned maintenance schedules and inspections.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job cards.
- Identify potential mechanical issues and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimise equipment downtime.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Adhere to housekeeping standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Trade Certificate (Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic / Millwright).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience maintaining TMM equipment in a mining environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
