Job Summary
- Assist toolmakers with routine maintenance and repair of injection moulding tools
- Support tool assembly, disassembly, and component replacement
- Perform basic machining operations under supervision
- Maintain toolroom equipment and ensure proper tool storage
- Assist with tool trials and troubleshooting production issues
- Keep accurate records of tool maintenance and repairs
- Support preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a toolroom environment
- Understanding of injection moulding processes and tooling
- Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions
- Experience with basic toolroom equipment and measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standard
Desirable Qualifications
- Trade certification or relevant technical qualification
- Experience with CNC machinery operation
- Knowledge of different plastic materials and their properties
- Familiarity with CAD software
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment
- May require lifting and handling of heavy tools and components
- Shift work may be required to support production needs
