About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Support Engineer to join their team of professionals. As a key member of the sales support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers and sales staff, while also contributing to lead generation and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer and end client lead generation and administration.
- Handling, maintenance and controlling of all lead inquiries through various communication channels.
- Introduction and consultation of new customers about IBC SOLAR, the company, its products and services.
- Technical selling, consultation and support of customers and in respect of the companys PV products and systems in both commercial and residential markets.
- Preparing PV designs in the companys design software PV Manager for clients and end clients.
- Introduction of the results and preparation of end client quotations for systems.
- Active technical and application support of sales staff in the preparation of sales offers in respect of technical and other aspects.
- Preparation of quotations, follow-up, product consulting and order confirmation to clients.
- Commencement of technical on-site and telephonic support as well as site visits for assessments or energy audits to prepare a PV design.
- Support the Department Manager when implementing new products and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Knowledge and experience in the solar field is an asset
- Product experience with Victron, SMA, Fronius, GoodWe, SolarMD and BYD is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience in the solar industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent English skills, Afrikaans is an asset.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively multi-task daily and meet deadlines
- Assertive, confident and clear communicator via e-mail, phone and face-to-face
- Proficient with desktop applications such as Windows & Office. ERP System Knowledge is an asset
- Experience with PV Design Software such as PV Syst, PV Sol etc.. is an asset
- Must have a valid state drivers license
