Job Summary
Job Overview
Our client, based in George, is looking to hire an Office Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time role ideal for a self-motivated, efficient, and organized individual. The successful candidate will support daily operations through administrative, financial, and operational tasks, while playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and file all administrative paperwork (physical filing)
- Order, track, and control stationery and cleaning supplies
- Oversee office housekeeping and ensure tidiness
- Prepare and manage Excel-based reports and sheets
- Reconcile control accounts and handle account allocations
- Process and allocate customer payments (Sage)
- Capture and issue invoices (Sage)
- Manage credit notes and liaise with banks (progressive task)
- Match invoices to GRV’s and confirm paperwork completion
- Administer time and attendance system (IQTech)
- Process staff hours and payroll (Excel)
- Maintain staff communication, notices, and filing systems (Microsoft & Outlook)
- Process remittances and handle email correspondence (Outlook)
- Liaise with debtors/creditors
- Compile and submit weekly/month-end reports (Excel/Symphony/Namos)
- Coordinate SHEQ files and Seattle variance control
- Handle Dept. of Labour and staff file administration
- Act as liaison between internal teams and external accountants
- Track supervisor incentive activities
Requirements
- Based in or willing to relocate to George
- Willing to work occasional weekends
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Sage, and general Microsoft Office
- Experience with IQTech, Symphony, Namos, and Q-Pro is an advantage
- Strong administrative, filing, and communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Motivated, energetic, and adaptable
- Open to learning and growing within the role
