About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client in the Food Manufacturing Industry is urgently seeking a Demand Planner to join their team in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast demand for food products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for demand planning.
  • Develop and maintain demand planning models, using statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in demand planning and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators, such as forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
