About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Food Manufacturing Industry is urgently seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join their team in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will play a critical role in accurately forecasting demand for food products, ensuring optimal stock levels, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast demand for food products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for demand planning.
- Develop and maintain demand planning models, using statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in demand planning and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Measure and report on key performance indicators, such as forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
- Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in demand planning within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
