About the Role
We are seeking a Junior IT Technician to join our team, providing technical support to users in both remote and onsite settings. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, as well as assisting with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and on-site visits
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment
- Set up and support printers, desktops, laptops, and other peripherals
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
- Perform routine system checks and updates
- Assist senior technicians with projects and onsite client support
Requirements
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and hardware. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Matric (IT-related certification or studies advantageous)
