Job Summary

Our client is looking for a skilled Sous Chef to assist in running their kitchen smoothly, ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional service, at their restaurant in George, Western Cape. Youll work closely with the Head Chef to manage kitchen operations, lead a dynamic team, and bring innovative culinary creations to life. Key

Responsibilities:

Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Team Leadership: Support and guide kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Menu Preparation: Assist in planning and executing menu items, maintaining consistency and quality. Quality Control: Monitor food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Communication: Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and address any issues that arise. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team and clientele. Valid drivers license and own transport for commuting to work.
