ROLE DESCRIPTION: Responsible for managing the Mechanical maintenance, control and supervise employees and to ensure subordinates adhere to standard practices. Furthermore, ensures efficiency of processing equipment and to supply and satisfy the requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • To plan, coordinate, and execute daily mechanical maintenance activities to achieve maintenance targets and production goals • Organize resources, materials, tools, and manpower to ensure efficient job execution and minimal downtime • To lead, direct, and motivate the Mechanical Maintenance team to deliver high-quality work, cost savings, and excellent customer service • Communicate maintenance plans, safety requirements, and business information clearly to shop-floor teams • Monitor, control, and evaluate team performance, maintenance quality, safety compliance, and housekeeping standards • To drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, innovation, and maintenance effectiveness • Identify and resolve mechanical issues, abnormal conditions, and workplace conflicts promptly • Ensure accurate maintenance documentation, reporting, inspections, and record keeping • To maintain high standards of housekeeping, discipline, and energy conservation QUALIFICATIONS: • Grade 12 (Essential) • Trade Test Certificate – Fitter or Millwright (Essential) EXPERIENCE, PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE: • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance with a minimum of two years’ experience in a Maintenance supervision role • Must have knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance Planning and Developing Continuous Improvements Plan • Strong analytical problem-solving skills • Communication – The ability to communicate professionally at all levels • Interpersonal skills – Good facilitation, communication, team player and general interpersonal skills • Knowledge of workplace safety, hazardous substances, incident investigation, and compliance with ISO 9002, ISO 14000, OHS Act, and HIRA
