About the Role
The Group Dispatch and Logistics Manager will oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring all outgoing goods are checked, labelled, and documented correctly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management and be able to analyze data to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Customers receive their orders on time and in full (OTD)
- Oversee daily dispatch operations, maintaining clear demarcation and color-coded zones
- Train staff on storage protocols for easy accessibility and prevent cross-contamination
- Confirm all goods for dispatch are checked against documentation before being accepted from the warehouse
- Monitor and report on On-Time Delivery (OTD), Wrong delivery, Late deliveries, Dispatch Ageing, Driver behaviour and driving patterns, Fuel consumption and diesel usage
- Source and evaluate logistics service providers for cost-effectiveness and performance
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in dispatch/logistics management
- Experience in managing outsourced logistics providers
- Experience in implementing and monitoring SLAs and KPIs
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field
- Proficiency in warehouse management software, Excel, and logistics software tools
Qualifications
- Matric Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
- Certification in logistics, route planning, and dispatch operations (optional)
