About the Role

Our client is a leading provider of innovative energy solutions, specializing in static power systems and renewable energy technologies. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Engineer to join their Static Power Business Unit based in Benoni. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing solar energy projects that make a positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer solar power systems, including photovoltaic arrays, inverters, and energy storage solutions, tailored to meet project requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy audits to identify optimal locations and configurations for solar installations.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate solar energy solutions with existing static power systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
Oversee project implementation, including procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Perform system performance evaluations, monitoring, and troubleshooting to identify and address operational issues and optimize energy output.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in solar energy and static power systems.

Requirements

Strong technical proficiency in solar photovoltaic systems, inverters, energy storage technologies, and relevant design software.
