About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conducting feasibility studies and cost analysis for projects
- Tendering and procurement processes
- Contract negotiation and administration
- Valuing completed work and preparing progress reports
- Cost control and value engineering
- Risk assessment and management
- Quantity take-offs and measurement of materials
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
- Professional membership (e.g. RICS) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Proficient in use of quantity surveying software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
