Hartswater: Milling and Storage Manager

About the Role

The Milling and Storage Manager will be responsible for managing the operational efficiency of the hammer mill production, as well as the storage of lucerne, with a focus on risk. The successful candidate will be based in Jan Kempdorp, Northern Cape, and have strong Operational background with 3-5 years experience. They must understand risks in the Agri-environment, particularly with regards to Lucerne, and possess good interpersonal skills to manage a local team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operational efficiency of hammer mill production
• Oversee storage of lucerne to minimize risk
• Monitor and optimize production processes for maximum productivity
• Collaborate with third-party storage suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain management

Requirements

• Basic Qualification: Operational or Agricultural tertiary qualification
• Work Experience required: Strong Operational background (3-5 years experience)
• Understanding/experience of Lucerne as a commodity
• Understand risks in the Agri-environment, with a focus on Lucerne
• Likeable/relatable person, with ability to manage a local team and drive productivity

Qualifications

• Lucerne grading certificate essential
