Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct guided safari experiences, providing informative and engaging commentary.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of guests during all excursions.
- Manage the training and development of guiding staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other lodge departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Stay updated on wildlife trends and conservation efforts, enhancing the lodge’s educational offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a safari guide, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Relevant qualifications, including FGASA NQF 4 certification (or equivalent) and first aid training.
- Strong knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for guest engagement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and 4×4 driving experience.
