Job Description

Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals Follow recipes and kitchen standards accurately Support mise en place preparation for all meal services Ensure cleanliness and organisation of workstations Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times Assist with stock rotation (FIFO) and storage procedures Support senior chefs during service Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team Minimum Requirements Culinary qualification (advantageous) 12 years experience in a professional kitchen (hospitality/lodge environment preferred) Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Own transport (preferred due to location) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Ability to follow instruction precisely Good time management Team player with a positive attitude Willingness to learn and grow Ability to perform under pressure High personal hygiene standards Professional presentation and conduct Personal Attributes Passion for food and hospitality Adaptable and flexible Reliable and punctual Respectful and disciplined What We Offer Opportunity to grow within a luxury safari lodge environment Supportive team culture Exposure to high-end culinary standards Accommodation may be discussed depending on circumstances
