Job Title: Guide for Back-Up or Full Trails Location: This position is based in Democratic Republic of Congo. Job Type: This is a permanent position, working 3 months on 1 month off. Primary Industry: Full time Guiding guests from 4 – 14 night stay moving from camp to camp with the guests. Secondary Industry: Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality. Job Duties: Leading guests on walks, boating, kayaking and Game Drives in the jungle. Interpreting what is being seen and discovering untouched Jungle. Assisting with logistics and coordination of trail activities. Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the journey. Handling any issues or emergencies that may arise during the trails. Required Qualifications: Valid first aid certification. Excellent communication (French is advantagous however not a must) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong knowledge of walking safaris and outdoor activities. Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. FGASA level 1,2 or 3 will be accepted. Back-up or full trails is a must Experience: Prior experience in guiding is a must. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and protocols. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in outdoor leadership or related field. Experience in customer service roles within the travel and tourism industry. Working Conditions: The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require physical exertion.
