About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reception Manager to join our luxury lodge in Hoedspruit, known for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing front office and hospitality operations, ensuring high standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour
- Welcome guests on arrival and manage check-outs
- Manage incoming calls and respond to all guest questions and requests
- Accept payments and perform other administrative duties
- Prioritise and manage tasks independently with good planning and organisational skills
- Be proactive, use initiative, and apply creative flair when required
- Oversee reception and front office operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end safari lodge or hotel
- Matric / Grade 12; Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management beneficial
- Excellent reception and front office control skills
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Strong understanding of lodge operations and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite, reservation systems, POS systems, financial systems)
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of procedures
- Experience with stock control
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Salary & Benefits
Monthly package market-related depending on experience and qualifications. Accommodation and laundry provided. Work cycle 3 weeks on, 1 week off 15 days annual leave
