About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Dairy Farm Manager to lead our dairy farm operations in Howick, with a strong focus on pasture management and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and high-quality milk production
- Develop and implement pasture management plans to optimize crop yields and reduce environmental impact
- Manage budgets, maintain accurate records, and make informed decisions to drive business growth
- Implement AI technologies to improve farm efficiency and productivity
- Lead a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve individual and team goals
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
- At least 10 years experience on a dairy farm
- Great stockman essential
- Pasture management experience
- Computer literate
- Fodder flow planning
- Ability to work with budgets and keep good records
- Ability to AI
- Hands-on person, hard-working, deadline-driven, and diligent
Qualifications
- Maintenance orientated
- Valid drivers license
