Howick: SENIOR DAIRY FARM MANAGER

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dairy Farm Manager to lead our dairy farm operations in Howick, with a strong focus on pasture management and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and high-quality milk production
• Develop and implement pasture management plans to optimize crop yields and reduce environmental impact
• Manage budgets, maintain accurate records, and make informed decisions to drive business growth
• Implement AI technologies to improve farm efficiency and productivity
• Lead a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve individual and team goals
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
• At least 10 years experience on a dairy farm
• Great stockman essential
• Pasture management experience
• Computer literate
• Fodder flow planning
• Ability to work with budgets and keep good records
• Ability to AI
• Hands-on person, hard-working, deadline-driven, and diligent

Qualifications

• Maintenance orientated
• Valid drivers license
