About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Staff Solutions in Humansdorp. As a key member of our agricultural machinery repair team, you will be responsible for executing repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of equipment. You will work closely with our management team to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute repairs and maintenance on all makes and models of agricultural machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Accurately record timekeeping and report any equipment or facility faults to the owner
- Manage parts, materials, and consumables for jobs in progress, returning unused parts to the Parts Department as required
- Monitor and control lubricants used, maintaining accurate records
- Effectively repair vehicles as instructed within designated repair times
- Identify and order parts required from the Parts Department
- Complete job write-ups after finishing work and vehicle handover
- Report any additional repair work found during machine maintenance
Requirements
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 3-7 years of experience in the agriculture sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills and positive attitude
- Valid Code 08 Driver’s License including own reliable transport
