About the Role
The External Sales Representative – Pumps, Dewatering, Slurry – Jet Park will be responsible for generating sales and providing technical solutions for our company’s products and services, including dewatering pumps, slurry pumps, dredging equipment, and rental solutions for the mining, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
- Promote and sell product offerings, including rental pumps and dredging solutions.
- Develop sales strategies to increase market share and grow customer base.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and present appropriate pump solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding product inquiries, rentals, and service-related concerns.
- Provide clients with technical advice on pump selection, application, and maintenance.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of our product range, including Atlas Copco and Toyo pumps, and their applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in dewatering and slurry technology.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide training to clients as needed.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive quotations for pump rentals, sales, and services.
- Negotiate terms of sales agreements with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for both the customer and the company.
- Ensure timely follow-up on proposals and inquiries to close deals effectively.
- Maintain accurate sales records and report on sales activity, including leads, orders, and customer feedback.
- Use CRM systems to track customer interactions, opportunities, and progress toward targets.
- Submit sales forecasts and performance reports to the Sales Manager.
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, technical support, and rental departments, to ensure timely delivery and servicing of pumps.
- Co-ordinate with the marketing department to ensure alignment in promotional efforts and lead generation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in external sales, particularly in the mining, agricultural, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, dewatering systems, and slurry equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and offer tailored technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively.
