My client is growing their Business Intelligence team and is looking for a Junior BI Consultant who wants to develop into a well‑rounded BI professional. This role is designed for someone early in their career who already has solid SQL fundamentals and wants hands‑on experience with real reporting and data analysis work. Youll work under guidance from senior team members while owning clearly defined data and reporting tasks. The focus is on building strong technical habits, accuracy, and professional communication, not rushing you into responsibility youre not ready for. What youll be doing: Writing, testing, and optimizing SQL queries for reporting and analysis Extracting and manipulating data from SQL Server databases Assisting with report development using Excel, SSRS, and/or Power BI Performing data validation, checks, and basic reconciliations Investigating and resolving reporting or data issues Clearly documenting queries and reporting logic Supporting internal teams with data‑related questions This is not a "just‑export‑to‑Excel" role. Youll learn how data is structured, validated, and trusted. Skills & Experience: Minimum 13 years experience in a SQL, reporting, or data‑related role (or a strong academic background with practical SQL exposure) Solid working knowledge of SQL (joins, grouping, subqueries, aggregations) Understanding of relational databases Strong Excel skills Clear written and verbal communication skills in English Logical thinker with strong attention to detail Professional, reliable, and comfortable following structured processes Qualification : Relevant degree or diploma beneficial but not mandatory. Practical SQL ability is prioritized.

Write, test, and optimise SQL queries for reporting and data analysis. Extract and manipulate data from SQL Server databases. Assist in developing and maintaining reports using Excel, SSRS. And / or Power BI. Perform data checks, validation and basic reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Investigate and trouble shoot reporting issues, support internal teams with data related queries.
