is partnering with an established Safari company with a small portfolio of luxury lodges in Southern Africa to recruit an experienced and commercially astute . This role requires a Durban-based candidate who is available and willing to travel extensively across the portfolio in Southern Africa. This senior leadership position is best suited to a seasoned hospitality professional with a strong record in multi-property operations management. The ideal candidate will bring genuine passion for guest excellence together with the commercial acumen to drive consistent performance across a portfolio of luxury safari properties. Reporting directly to the Shareholders and Board of Directors, the successful candidate will take strategic ownership across all properties, with oversight of accommodation, food and beverage, guest services, maintenance, facilities, procurement and reservations. Upholding Group standards while consistently delivering an outstanding guest experience will be central to the remit. The position carries significant commercial accountability. The Director will review monthly management accounts and report on key operational metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP and labour costs, while leading performance reviews with General Managers. A forward-thinking approach to AI and business intelligence tools will be expected to support sound decision-making and drive operational improvement across the portfolio. Supporting the Group’s growth agenda will also form a key part of the role. The Director will identify new portfolio opportunities, participate in site assessments and acquisition due diligence, and lead the onboarding and integration of newly acquired or managed properties. Requirements • Minimum 10 years of senior hospitality leadership experience • Proven track record managing multi-property luxury hospitality operations • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on operational and financial data • Familiarity with AI tools, business intelligence platforms and hospitality technology systems • Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence and property integration projects will be an advantage • Semper PMS experience will be an advantage • A degree in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field will be beneficial • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively across Southern Africa Salary – On application (DOE) ➡️ PLEASE NOTE: Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
