Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary education in industrial engineering or supply chain management. This is a role for somebody dynamic, energetic, self-driven, results-oriented, and above all who has a positive "can do" outlook with a clear focus on deliverables. Strong communication including writing reports and presenting. Must have excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of planning software. Sage x3 advantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing the production plan to ensure a continues flow in the manufacturing process. Ensuring the smooth running of the production process by controlling and monitoring the raw materials and semifinished items. Ensuring that targeted milestones are met to support the companys strategic goals. Ensuring that all direct staff, products and warehouses comply with the companys iso as well as health and safety procedures and maintain a 5S environment. Taking full responsibility for the production plan of the factory, including planning and scheduling all products through the manufacturing process by updating the production plan. Creating, maintaining, reviewing, and administering manufacturing schedules and production plans. Developing the production schedule in line with the production forecast and kanban system. Liaising with managers and hods to discuss order progress and address arising issues. Administering and implementing production, planning, and control processes. Identifying the type and quantity of semi-finished and raw materials required; communicating with relevant departments accordingly. Communicating the production plan to the production team and customers. Driving continuous improvement of scheduling and sequencing processes. Controlling and monitoring raw material usage. Coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials. Reviewing and compiling reports on work progress, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. Liaising with the warehouse to ensure timely production and preparation of semi-finished products in line with the plan. Managing and training direct reports to support staff development and create growth opportunities. Issuing and resolving any NCRs related to the planning department. Managing production and quality targets to ensure smooth production processes. Ensuring adherence to company policies and sops through the iso system. Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on factory-related processes, performance, and issues. Applying problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and take swift corrective action. Working closely with shift supervisors to ensure effective production. Participating in the companys continuous improvement plan to support future growth. Maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace using 5S and ISO. Using company resources effectively to ensure optimal operating costs. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.

Duties and responsibilities: Production Planning: Analyse unconstrained demand against factory capacity to determine the feasibility of market demand. Develop production plans, determine production priorities, and allocate tasks to the production team. Track and monitor production progress through to completion. Coordinate trial production periods and integrate them into the production plan. Special Occasion Planning: Receive customer order numbers from Sales and Marketing for new products. Develop special occasion production plans and align priorities with the COO. Provide detailed production plans to the production team and allocate tasks accordingly. Track and monitor production progress through to completion. Reporting: Produce accurate and timely daily production reports for the Factory Manager to compare actual production against planned figures. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform secondary checks on material and stock availability. Provide packing plans to Sales and Marketing to support customer sales decisions. Develop and maintain deep cleaning schedules. Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety rules and standards at all times. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times. Ensure the correct safety equipment is available and used safely and correctly. Take accountability for all safety equipment issued. Report all safety hazards, accidents, and incidents to the relevant parties. Quality: Ensure alignment of all work processes to the required quality standards. Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities. Implement agreed quality initiatives aligned with business units, tasks, processes, and systems. Execute corrective actions within specified timeframes.
