<strong>Technical Sales Consultant</strong><br><br>Sector: Chemicals<br><br>Location: Durban<br><br>Salary: R550 000 p.a. (neg)<br><br>Our client in the chemicals industry is looking for a suitable Technical Sales Consultant to:<br>• Set in motion, keep in motion all factors and forces capable of achieving strategic marketing objectives.<br>• Achieve budgeted volume and revenue targets through effective tactics of persuasion, communication and product strategies.<br>• Operate and control the sales territory and customer portfolio.<br>• Market the company's products and services to the allocated customer portfolio according to the guidance of the Marketing Plan and Branch Manager's guidance.<br><br>Main Duties:<br>• Develop and service the allocated territory and customer portfolio by example to achieve territory budget targets and growth expectations.<br>• Implement the sales strategies for the territory and sales channels/segments as agreed with the Branch Manager.<br>• Proactively seek new business opportunities and identify new needs and wants in the marketplace. (Entrepreneurial Spirit)<br>• Ensure pricing strategy is followed and profitability (IR %) targets met. <br>• The compilation and submission of monthly/quarterly sales reports and volume forecasts and advice the Branch Manager of changing market conditions.<br>• The regular reporting of marketing information encompassing inter-alia, customers, competitors, economic and credit information.<br>• The timeous submission of all monthly sales reports (including customer visit reports and weekly call planning schedules)<br>• The protection and maintenance of the relevant Market Shares in the respective segments<br>• Maintain open internal & external communication<br>• Direct selling to identify key accounts to ensure growth and targets are met.<br>• Handle all customer product quality complaints and back-up services.<br>• Maintain and safeguard company property and the Confidentiality of Company information and affairs.<br>• Participate in stock take on a monthly basis.<br>• Accurate Forecast to minimize Working Capital requirements<br>• Maintain all systems and procedures of the Company including awareness of the credit status of the customers.<br>• Adhere to the laid down levels of expenditure at all times.<br>• Maintain all approved policies of the Company.<br>• Adhere to the company Safety standards.<br>• Participate in regular local management meetings to foster good management, team building and performance excellence.<br>• Improve company image by networking and being actively involved in applicable functions and technical seminars.<br>• Set a high standard of performance by example, attitude and behaviour.<br>• Contribute positively to a total integrated culture with total customer orientation as a key performance area.<br><br>Requirements:<br>• Recognised Business Qualification<br>• Minimum qualification (C&CI Level 4) Concrete Mix Design Experience <br>• Grade 12 and a formal qualification in Marketing and or Sales<br>• Computer Literate (MS Office)<br>• Excel – Ability to analyse sales and data<br>• Professional PowerPoint presentations (Presenting Skills)<br>• Previous selling experience in Construction environment<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br>• Good interpersonal skills<br>• Strong customer service orientation<br>• Sound administrative and organizational skills<br>• Previous negotiation skills required<br>• Initiative & enthusiasm<br>• Valid driver's license<br>• Professional Selling & Negotiating Skills<br>• Key Account Management<br>• Credit Control Management<br><br>Send your Cv and latest pay slip to *****@*****.co.za<br><br>AtripleA Recruitment and Temps<br><br>
