<strong>Technical Sales Consultant</strong><br><br>Sector: Chemicals<br><br>Location: Durban<br><br>Salary: R550 000 p.a. (neg)<br><br>Our client in the chemicals industry is looking for a suitable Technical Sales Consultant to:<br>&bull; Set in motion, keep in motion all factors and forces capable of achieving strategic marketing objectives.<br>&bull; Achieve budgeted volume and revenue targets through effective tactics of persuasion, communication and product strategies.<br>&bull; Operate and control the sales territory and customer portfolio.<br>&bull; Market the company's products and services to the allocated customer portfolio according to the guidance of the Marketing Plan and Branch Manager's guidance.<br><br>Main Duties:<br>&bull; Develop and service the allocated territory and customer portfolio by example to achieve territory budget targets and growth expectations.<br>&bull; Implement the sales strategies for the territory and sales channels/segments as agreed with the Branch Manager.<br>&bull; Proactively seek new business opportunities and identify new needs and wants in the marketplace. (Entrepreneurial Spirit)<br>&bull; Ensure pricing strategy is followed and profitability (IR %) targets met. <br>&bull; The compilation and submission of monthly/quarterly sales reports and volume forecasts and advice the Branch Manager of changing market conditions.<br>&bull; The regular reporting of marketing information encompassing inter-alia, customers, competitors, economic and credit information.<br>&bull; The timeous submission of all monthly sales reports (including customer visit reports and weekly call planning schedules)<br>&bull; The protection and maintenance of the relevant Market Shares in the respective segments<br>&bull; Maintain open internal & external communication<br>&bull; Direct selling to identify key accounts to ensure growth and targets are met.<br>&bull; Handle all customer product quality complaints and back-up services.<br>&bull; Maintain and safeguard company property and the Confidentiality of Company information and affairs.<br>&bull; Participate in stock take on a monthly basis.<br>&bull; Accurate Forecast to minimize Working Capital requirements<br>&bull; Maintain all systems and procedures of the Company including awareness of the credit status of the customers.<br>&bull; Adhere to the laid down levels of expenditure at all times.<br>&bull; Maintain all approved policies of the Company.<br>&bull; Adhere to the company Safety standards.<br>&bull; Participate in regular local management meetings to foster good management, team building and performance excellence.<br>&bull; Improve company image by networking and being actively involved in applicable functions and technical seminars.<br>&bull; Set a high standard of performance by example, attitude and behaviour.<br>&bull; Contribute positively to a total integrated culture with total customer orientation as a key performance area.<br><br>Requirements:<br>&bull; Recognised Business Qualification<br>&bull; Minimum qualification (C&CI Level 4) Concrete Mix Design Experience <br>&bull; Grade 12 and a formal qualification in Marketing and or Sales<br>&bull; Computer Literate (MS Office)<br>&bull; Excel – Ability to analyse sales and data<br>&bull; Professional PowerPoint presentations (Presenting Skills)<br>&bull; Previous selling experience in Construction environment<br>&bull; Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br>&bull; Good interpersonal skills<br>&bull; Strong customer service orientation<br>&bull; Sound administrative and organizational skills<br>&bull; Previous negotiation skills required<br>&bull; Initiative & enthusiasm<br>&bull; Valid driver's license<br>&bull; Professional Selling & Negotiating Skills<br>&bull; Key Account Management<br>&bull; Credit Control Management<br><br>Send your Cv and latest pay slip to *****@*****.co.za<br><br>AtripleA Recruitment and Temps<br><br>

Summary of Functions:<br><br>Our client is looking for a well-established individual who is an excellent sales person, candidate must have extended technical and commercial knowledge of products. The work is carried out either in the office or on location in the allocated export countries (area). Candidate will have to travel more than 100 days per annum, this is expected by the client. Sales target to be achieved through distributors in the designated area: EUR 6 -10 million (Aspiration)<br><br>Duties and Responsibilities:<br>&bull; Promotion of the company to Consulting Engineers, Architects, Municipalities, Contractors and Investors<br>&bull; Organization and co-ordination of seminars, exhibitions participation and training<br>&bull; Identify business opportunities for products and present a convincing technical solution to potential customers<br>&bull; Identify business leads and second them to relevant persons in the designated territory<br>&bull; Present, promote and sell products using technically solid arguments to existing and prospective customer<br>&bull; Support distributors to achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule<br>&bull; Supply management with weekly and report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services<br>&bull; Develop a daily work schedule for cold calling, visiting existing customers and promoting our products in the market<br>&bull; Maintain relationships with clients through personal [contact details removed], telephones and by providing support and excellent service<br>&bull; Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending approved educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies<br>&bull; Display efficiency in gathering market and customer information to enable negotiations regarding pricing, delivery and meeting customer specifications. <br>&bull; Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing /potential customers to meet their needs.<br>&bull; Provide accurate feedback on future buying trends to the business <br>&bull; Analyze the territory potential, track relevant projects and provide weekly and monthly status reports.<br>&bull; Gather all necessary information from team members when dealing with common customers to maintain consistency. <br><br>Competencies:<br>&bull; Product knowledge, <br>&bull; Customer service skills, <br>&bull; Communication skills, <br>&bull; Flexibility <br>&bull; Persistence<br><br>Education and Experience Requirements<br><ul><li>Minimum a Degree level or equivalent</li><li>Desirable – Technical degree plus sales diploma</li><li>Good understanding of the construction industry </li><li>Good selling experience in project type environment</li><li>Excellent English proficiency</li></ul>
