Job Summary
Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software and traditional drafting techniques. This includes floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements, design intent, and technical specifications. Collaborate on design modifications and improvements as needed.Code Compliance: Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements. Stay updated on relevant building codes and regulations.Materials and Specifications: Select appropriate materials and components for construction based on project requirements, budget constraints, and industry standards.Accuracy and Quality: Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in all drawings and plans. Review and revise drawings as necessary to meet project standards.Documentation: Create and maintain a comprehensive set of project documents, including drawings, revisions, and design changes. Organize and archive project files for future reference.A higher certificate, degree or diploma in architecture, or a related field is typically required.Proficiency in computer-aided design Revit specifically Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building materials.
