Job Summary
A leader in African capital markets with a comprehensive suite of products, a vast global reach while and an acute positioning as a local bank with the expertise ability to leverage on local presence with regional and international expertise has a vacant position for an AWS Data Engineer to work within a team solving complex problems to deliver real business value across a wide range of industries such as well as helping develop best practices and drive improvements in data engineering across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Creating data models from various sources and store it in a usable format.
- Lead the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale, critical,
difficult data solutions.
- Utilize expertise in SQL and have a strong understanding of ETL and data modelling.
- Ability to ingest data into AWS S3, perform ETL into RDS or Redshift.
- Use AWS Lambda (C# or Python) for event-driven data transformations.
- Designing and implementing security measures to protect data from unauthorized
- access or misuse.
- Work on automating the migration process in AWS from development to production.
- Deliver digestible, contemporary, and immediate data content to support and
drive business decisions.
- Delivery planning, estimating and analysis, data architecture and pipeline design,
production implementation.
- Design and implementation of complex data solutions
- Optimise cloud workloads for cost, scalability, availability, governance, compliance,
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Architect Professional, Hashicorp Certified Terraform Associate
- 5 Years Python/C# Development
- 3 Years AWS Data Engineering
