We are a small accounting services firm seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with numbers, accounting software, solving problems, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses across various industries.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for multiple clientsProcess invoices, payments, receipts, and journalsReconcile bank accounts, debtors, and creditorsConduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy Prepare VAT return schedules and assist with statutory submissionsAssist with providing information for monthly management accounts, Annual Financial Statements and year-end Audits.Maintain an orderly accounting filing and recording system Maintain the chart of accounts Liaise with clients professionally and provide timely supportRequirements:Minimum 10 years bookkeeping experience Minimum Certificate in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or equivalent qualificationStrong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho)Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAttention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple client files and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsVerifiable recent references.
