About the Role
HotelJobs, a leading supplier of kitchen utensils, industrial cookware, commercial kitchens & appliances to the hospitality & food service industries based in Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and growth, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the company’s overall brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead generation and prospecting for brands
- Responsible for the growth of new and current business for assigned brands within the portfolio
- Schedule and execute training at customer sites and provide regular follow-up and refresher training as required
- Ensure all customers are adequately stocked at all times
- Provide weekly progress reports to management
- Plan and execute visits to existing accounts within and outside South Africa on a regular basis
- Identify, communicate, and help resolve any service issues or customer complaints
- Develop close working relationships with customers
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively market and leverage brands
- Support Key Account Managers with identifying and executing opportunity areas
- Regularly communicate with procurement on strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) is essential
- A relevant degree or tertiary qualification is also essential
- At least 4+ years in a similar role, with 3+ years of strategic leadership experience
- Experience in brand building is highly desirable
- Excellent understanding of the market, customer needs, and business processes
