About the Role
The Business Development Manager position at MV Drives is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the drives and controls industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and development, while also maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop new sales opportunities for MV Drives
- Follow up on, co-ordinate and engage with end users, consultants, OEMs and other parties to secure orders from existing and new enquiries
- Manage an up-to-date quote and opportunity register
- Train internal staff to upskill them in MV Drives sales
- Interface with product sales management to stay updated on product developments
- Provide sales and product assistance to all branches, sales teams, business development, and Africa
- Ensure key account and major customers relevant to MV Drives are taken care of
- Prepare monthly reporting and other reports as required
- Utilise and maintain internal systems, methods, and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with competitor information, market trends, and developments
- Conduct market research and provide knowledge to support correct growth strategies
- Participate in annual and periodic strategic planning and budget preparation
Requirements
- Matric and N6 Electrical or equivalent
- 10 years’ experience in Drives & Controls
- Strong general understanding of the business
- Computer literate – Strong MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and SYSPRO
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
