About the Role
Our client, one of South Africa’s largest multidisciplinary construction groups, is seeking a skilled Foreman to join their team on a roads and earthworks project in Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities
- Works to programmes and deadlines as agreed with Site Agent/General Foreman.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Setting out and levelling.
- Knowledge of materials, plant and equipment.
- Co-ordination of construction teams.
- Staff management and labour legislation.
- Safety requirements and safety and health legislation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years related experience in the construction environment with experience in roads & earthworks projects.
- Written Communication.
- Oral Communication.
- Numerical orientation.
- Planning skills.
- Problem solving.
- Conflict management.
- Decision making.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Team player.
Qualifications
Matric with Maths/NQF4 is an advantage.
