About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic couple to join our team as General Managers at Wild Dreams Hospitality’s lodge within a Big 5 reserve. As a hands-on role, we’re looking for a couple who can manage a high-performing small team while maintaining exceptional 5-star standards in an intimate bushveld setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction across all lodge operations, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency
  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the lodge, maintaining exceptional guest experiences at all times
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a small, multi-skilled team, while actively participating in daily operations where required
  • Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, procurement, stock control, and cost management
  • Maintain and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Coordinate closely with head office, ensuring accurate reporting and effective administrative processes
  • Handle multiple operational functions including guest relations, staff management, and administrative duties
  • Oversee maintenance and general upkeep of the lodge and its facilities
  • If applicable, one partner may assist with guiding activities to enhance the overall guest experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior management couple within a 5-star lodge or hospitality environment
  • Strong operational knowledge across all lodge departments within a small-team structure
  • Hands-on management style with the ability to work across multiple departments
  • High level of maturity, resilience, and ability to operate independently without extensive on-site support
  • Strong financial acumen and administrative capability
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A stable career history demonstrating commitment to previous roles
  • Ideally, one partner holds a guiding qualification with relevant field experience
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, conservation, and the African bushveld
