Job Summary

Strategic leadership Provide strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability by establishing an effective and robust sales process pursuant with our financial sustainability strategy Diligently serve as a key and active member of the Group EXCO and Board and always display and uphold the highest levels of integrity, humility and other sound leadership traits and practices. Build and maintain collaborative partnerships and relationships with key clients and stakeholders and with the relevant executives of all sister companies and drive customer satisfaction Develop a strategic sales plan, aligning to the strategic intent of the organization taking cognizance of the services divisions mandate with regards to integrated and bundled services offerings. Develop milestone plans with quantifiable objectives and relevant metrics to measure results against strategic objectives, taking account of market and business intelligence by leveraging data and related analytics to drive insights. Responsible for the development of focused segmentation strategies, lead generation, new business sales, customer relationship management strategies and client retention. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation with the sales team to foster creativity, adaptability, and a customer-centric approach. Oversee the companys relationships with its most important clients. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. Build strong relationships with strategic customers. Identify needs and requirements to promote our companys solutions and collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and integration of sales activities with overall business objectives. Identify new market opportunities and business development initiatives to expand the companys customer base and revenue streams. Operational Leadership – Sales Implement and manage strategic sales initiatives and plans to ensure that annual revenue growth targets are at the very least met, but ideally exceeded to increase the companys market share and inherent profitability Develop appropriate pricing of all services by utilizing appropriate benchmarks, ensuring that pricing is competitive, whilst taking into account targeted margins and profits Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of key clients Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize their potential and performance. Provide ongoing training and support to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust Reporting: Provide a comprehensive sales report incorporating the relevant metrics including but not limited to market share, customer and segment penetration, sales pipeline, on a monthly and quarterly basis and for the board pack Provide comprehensive tracking of sales targets and forecasts, including a weekly update probability report to be presented and discussed at the weekly catch-up sessions PERSON SPECIFICATION Tertiary Education Bachelors degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field. Advantageous: MBA Secondary Education Matric (Senior Certificate) Licenses Valid Drivers License Experience Proven record of leadership and managing a sales division with a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity Strong analytical skills and is able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to complex operational and solutioning issues during the sales cycles Strong understanding of sales methodologies, techniques, and best practices in the facility management industry Ability to create clear action plans and tracking metrics A demonstrated record of accomplishments within business development and/or sales Leadership skills to inspire and influence others, drive performance, and foster a collaborative and high-performing sales team. Technical/Core Skills Strong sales knowledge (ideally in the FM services or services sector), excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients and team members, IT Training (General MS etc.) Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook (advanced skill level).
