Job Description

CONTROL ROOM MANAGER Job Title: Control Room Manager Reports To: Regional Operations Manager / General Manager Location: Nelspruit Control Room Role Purpose: To lead, manage, and oversee the strategic and operational performance of the Control Room, ensuring full functionality, risk mitigation and compliance Key Responsibilities: Operational Control Monitoring Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Control Room team (Supervisors & Controllers). Ensure all Control Room logs, incidents, and evidence trails are properly maintained. Conduct weekly audits, failure investigations, and platform health checks. Liaise with client representatives, Sector Supervisors and Sector Managers Coordinate training, system upgrades, and integration of new monitoring technologies. Enforce SOP adherence, performance standards, and real-time response protocols. Staff Management Ensure SOP adherence and performance standards by conducting SOP Training every three months and keeping a training register for all training conducted with the Control Room The Control Room Manager is responsible for HR Related issues within the Control Room . These are not limited to forwarding of leave forms , sick leave forms and Injury on duty. The Control Room Manager will ensure that all staff members are compliant in terms of PSIRA, Medicals, inductions and weapons competency where applicable Implement Immediate corrective action in the event of non-compliance or Application/Platform failures. Approve shift rosters and authorize critical incident escalations. Zero Tolerance Enforcement – Implement Any disciplinary processes that have been proposed after failures have been identified during post incident debrief analysis
