About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Johannesburg. With a strong background in vertical machining centres and Fanuc control, you will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming machines to produce high-quality parts. You will work independently with minimal supervision, using your expertise to adjust offsets for optimal performance, accuracy, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC machinery, including vertical machining centres
Set tool and work offsets
Program machines according to given programs
Produce first off from given program
Work independently with little supervision
Adjust offsets on CNC control for optimal performance, accuracy, and quality

Requirements

Qualification as Fitter & Turner or equivalent advantageous
3-5 years of experience as machinist
Experience working with vertical machining centres with Fanuc control is an absolute must
Good background in CNC workshop operation and programming of machines
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering/technical drawings

Qualifications

Completed Fitter & Turner qualification or equivalent
