About the Role
The Compliance Monitoring Officer will play a critical role in ensuring our company adheres to its Policies, Procedures & Controls by conducting sampling and periodic reviews using our Compliance Monitoring Program. This position requires an individual with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Periodic Reviews, record any deficiencies and generate action points for remediation
- Ensure that client due diligence is collected to the appropriate standard in line with internal policies and procedures
- Monitor and analyse the results of automated ongoing screening system and conduct research on relevant parties where potential adverse matches are identified
- Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of internal policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
- Conduct client screening using our screening system and open-source searches
- Provide day-to-day support/guidance to staff as required in respect of compliance and AML/CFT/CPF matters
- Participate in training sessions to increase knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment
Requirements
- Experience of working in a compliance environment
- Ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
- Aptitude for problem solving
- Methodical approach to tasks with strong focus on attention to detail
- Experience in collating and summarising data
- Excellent organisational skills; prioritising, achieving deadlines
Qualifications
Ideally holds International Compliance Association (ICA) Certificate and/or Diploma in Compliance or related field, or Association of Certified Anto-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
