About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly compliant with regulatory requirements, and that import processes are managed efficiently. With a strong background in liaising with regulators and managing complex compliance issues, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, and renew NRCS Letters of Authority (LOAs) for all equipment
- Manage import compliance processes, including customs clearance and NRCS inspections
- Liaise with regulators (NRCS, SABS, testing labs) to obtain certifications
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and escalate findings to senior management
- Provide compliance guidance for tenders and contracts with large clients
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Excellent experience with NRCS Letters of Authority (LOAs)
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance processes
- Proven ability to work effectively with regulators
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Qualifications
- Completed relevant degree or diploma
- Relevant certification(s) in compliance or a related field (e.g. SABS)
Salary & Benefits
R50 000 per annum, plus benefits package
