About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading client in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Contracts Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in contract management and negotiation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, and other third parties
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all contracts
  • Monitor contract performance and enforce contract terms and conditions as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that contracts are aligned with business objectives and strategy
  • Develop and implement contract management processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on contract-related issues and best practices
  • Keep abreast of changes in contract law and regulations to ensure compliance and minimise risk

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and regulations
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contract management software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field

About the Role

HireResolve is seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our growing team of professionals in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our partner company, a leading Renewable Energy provider, offers Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for Medium and High Voltage scopes to renewable EPCs, IPPs, and utilities, enabling sustainable energy solutions. As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting project execution from tendering to negotiations and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, drafting, evaluation, and negotiating of commercial and general business contracts with Clients, Suppliers, and Sub-Contractors.
  • Direct the Contract Management activities of project team members in the execution of projects.
  • Referrals and rebuttals as required for disputes.
  • Perform administrative tasks in contract management and implementation.

Requirements

  • BCom Law or LLB degree.
  • 5-8 years experience in the Commercial Legal environment.
  • Experienced with contract management and standard (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, etc.)/proprietary contract form.
  • Expert knowledge of the family of New Engineering Contracts (NEC).
  • Extensive knowledge of the early warning and compensation event/variation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Completed BCom Law or LLB degree.
