About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist (Business Intelligence) to transform complex data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. The successful candidate will work across large datasets, develop analytical models, and deliver high-impact BI solutions using modern data platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and analytics solutions.
Analyse structured and semi-structured data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
Build predictive and descriptive models to support business decision-making.
Develop and optimise complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Implement and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Apply sound data modelling techniques and design principles.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and performance across BI platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist within a data science or modelling environment.
Strong insurance industry experience and/or an actuarial background is highly desirable.
Data Science & Machine Learning; Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
Business Intelligence & Visualisation: Power BI
Data Engineering & Platform, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
Programming Languages: Python, R, Java, C, C#
Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Sciences.
