About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dealership Financial Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial oversight of dealership operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and compliance. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with extensive experience in motor dealership finance to lead our financial management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full financial oversight of dealership operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and compliance
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of month-end and year-end financial processes
- Monitoring cash flow, working capital, and cost management across all departments
- Preparation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Providing financial insights and partnering with management to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Maintaining integrity and control within the Dealer Management System (Kerridge and/or Pinnacle)
- Ensuring accurate financial postings and process control across departments
- Oversight of vehicle, parts, and fixed asset controls, including regular reconciliations
- Managing statutory compliance including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other regulatory submissions
- Supporting payroll controls, leave reconciliations, and HR-related financial matters
- Managing internal and external audits and liaising with auditors, banks, and service providers
- Supporting and maintaining BBBEE compliance and reporting
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Financial Accounting or related qualification
- 37 years experience as a Financial Manager within a motor dealership environment
- Proven working experience on Kerridge and/or Pinnacle DMS
- Strong understanding of full dealership operations (New, Used, Parts, Service, F&I)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong compliance and control mindset
- Commercially driven with the ability to work independently and perform under pressure
